2015–2016 ANNUAL REPORT
The Annual Report covers the period from July 1 of each year through June 30 of the following year, coinciding with the University of Chicago fiscal year. The Annual Report highlights the success and spirit of the people that embody the mission of the Oriental Institute. It contains summaries of the activities of the Institute’s faculty and staff, updates on several research projects, and descriptions of other special events and Institute functions.
In the spirit of our commitment to the environment, we are pleased to announce that we are publishing this year’s Annual Report online. Along with the upgrade of the Institute’s website, this represents the latest step in the OI’s efforts to make our high-quality publications more readily available to a wider audience while reducing costs for the Institute and the planet at the same time. With this in mind, the Oriental Institute will no longer provide a printed copy of the Annual Report to members at the Friends of the Oriental Institute level. Those members at this level that are interested in viewing the Annual Report are encouraged to access the report online or consider upgrading their membership to the Associate of the Oriental Institute level or higher to receive a printed copy in the mail.
