Oriental Institute to Host a Screening of Letters from Baghdad and Discussion with Filmmakers

The Oriental Institute will host a screen in Breasted Hall of Letters from Baghdad, the story of a true original — Gertrude Bell (1868–1926)— sometimes called the “female” Lawrence of Arabia, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers Sabine Krayenbühl and Zeva Oelbaum, led by McGuire Gibson, Professor of Mesopotamian Archaeology.

Oriental Institute to Host the 2017 CIPEG Annual Meeting
