William Sumner's article "Archaeological Measures of Cultural Continuity and the Arrival of the Persians in Fars," appeared in Continuity and Change: Proceedings of the Last Achaemenid History Workshop, April 6-8, 1990, Ann Arbor, Michigan , edited by Heleen Sancisi-Weerdenburg, Amélie Kuhrt, and Margaret Cool Root, pp. 97-105 (Achaemenid History VIII; Leiden: Nederlands Instituut voor het Nabije Oosten, 1994). Sumner continues to work on the manuscript of his report of excavations in the Proto-Elamite levels of Operation ABC at Malyan.
