JOURNAL OF NEAR EASTERN STUDIES (JNES)
The Journal of Near Eastern Studies (JNES) is a semi-annual (April and October) publication of the University of Chicago’s Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. Since 1884, JNES has published contributions from scholars of international reputation on the archaeology, art, history, languages, literatures, philosophies, and religions of Egypt and the Near East. JSTOR, the Scholarly Journal Archive, has all volumes dating back to Vol. 1, 1942 available for searching on their website.
Oriental Institute members receive a 20% discount on JNES. The journal’s full back run is available online from JSTOR, the digital archive of scholarly journals. Access to JNES in JSTOR is included at no extra charge with every personal electronic subscription to JNES.
