Tom Van Eynde: Thebes Photographic Project
Dendera. Temple of Hathor, Hypostyle Hall (A.D. 1st century). View looking
toward the eastern wall between the first and second rows of columns. At
the base of the wall is a square opening in the masonry that accesses a
once-secret recess (i.e., a "crypt"), perhaps where sacred temple implements
were stored in antiquity. Not shown in the photo are the sculpted capitals
atop the columns representing the head and face of Hathor.

All the photographs were made with a Fujica G617 Panorama Camera. The film is TriX. The prints are made on llford Mulitgrade Fiber base paper. The original prints are 7"x22" on 10"x24" paper.
