Deir el-Medina. This view from the southeast shows the ruins of the village-complex of the workmen who built the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings. The complex lies in a valley nestled between a high hill and the Theban mountain. It consists of the walled village (right), the temple (behind the village), and the cemetery (left). All the photographs were made with a Fujica G617 Panorama Camera. The film is TriX. The prints are made on llford Mulitgrade Fiber base paper, toned with Kodak Rapid Selenium toner. The original prints are 7"x22" on 10"x24" paper.
