Tom Van Eynde: Thebes Photographic Project
The Temple of Isis at Deir el-Shelwit is located 3.5 km. (2.1 mi.) south of Western Thebes. It was built and decorated by a series of Roman emperors in the first and second centuries A.D. Visible above the ground are the gateway (propylon), foundations of the enclosure wall, an open court, and the temple proper. (Caption - Peter Piccione)
All the photographs were made with a Fujica G617 Panorama Camera. The film is TriX. The prints are made on llford Mulitgrade Fiber base paper, toned with Kodak Rapid Selenium toner. The original prints are 7"x22" on 10"x24" paper.
