As part of a grant from the Antiquities Endowment Fund of the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE), a project to conserve an Egyptian coffin in the Oriental Institute Museum collection (OIM E12072) has continued to make imprtant progress. This unusual coffin contains a selection of spells from the Pyramid Texts and the OI conservation team is treating the coffin so that it can be exhibited in the Joseph and Mary Grimshaw Egyptian Gallery later this summer.
