Call for Applications for the OI Collections Research Grant 2019–2020

The OI Collections Research Grant provides researchers with financial support to carry out discrete research projects that incorporate the study of artifacts & archival documents in the OI collection. We allow for the broadest possible selection of potential projects that will heighten the level of intellectual discourse and collaboration within the OI.

Afghan Heritage Mapping Partnership Capstone Course

As part of the Oriental Institute’s Afghan Heritage Mapping Partnership, from February 4–15, 2019, five members of the Afghanistan Institute of Archaeology (AIA), including its director, participated in a two-week intensive training course at the Center for Ancient Middle Eastern Landscapes (CAMEL) Laboratory at the OI in Chicago.
