The Oriental Institute is pleased to offer a limited amount of funding to assist schools in visiting our museum. If you would like to have the $5 per student fee for a Guided Tour, Guided Tour and Film, or Self-Guided Visit waived, you may apply for field trip funding.
Field trip funding covers the Guided Tour or Self-Guided Visit fee for up to 60 students, and the Guided Tour and Film fee for 60 to 120 students. In order to receive funding, you must first book a tour or visit through our online form. A credit card is required to reserve a date, but will not be charged until the date of the visit if a charge is required. After submitting the tour request form, please fill out our field trip funding application form and email a copy of this form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Field trip funding applications must be received at least two weeks before your scheduled tour. We will notify you of the status of your application within 5 business days.
If you are awarded funding, your credit card will not be charged the $5 per student fee on the day of your visit. The $100 “no show” fee will still apply to any tour cancelled less than 48 hours in advance, barring weather-related conditions that result in a school closing.
