The Oriental Institute is pleased to offer a limited amount of funding to assist schools in visiting our museum. If you would like to have the $5 per student fee for a Guided Tour, Guided Tour and Film, or Self-Guided Visit waived, you may apply for field trip funding.

Field trip funding covers the Guided Tour or Self-Guided Visit fee for up to 60 students, and the Guided Tour and Film fee for 60 to 120 students. In order to receive funding, you must first book a tour or visit through our online form. A credit card is required to reserve a date, and will be charged a $50 registration fee, to be applied to your balance. If you are granted funding, the registration fee will be refunded, and your card will not be charged the remaining balance. Field trip funding applications must be received at least two weeks before your scheduled tour. We will notify you of the status of your application within 5 business days.

If you are awarded funding, your credit card will not be charged the $5 per student fee on the day of your visit, and the $50 registration fee will be refunded. The $100 “no show” fee will still apply to any tour cancelled less than 48 hours in advance, barring weather-related conditions that result in a school closing.
